Had few decent dropped .co.uk domains available last night so decided to check them for trademarking before I pick them up. Two examples:
Socialmove.co.uk (has EU trademark)
Vision24.co.uk (has UK and EU trademark)
http://www.ipo.gov.uk/home.htm
Was reading Intellectual Property Office rules for hours but found it well complicated to get my head around (maybe was just tired) how does it work really.
So first question is does EU trademark has jurisdiction and also has Intellectual rights for UK and so .co.uk domain name? OR does it need to be EU as well as UK trademark to fully comply with trademarking rules for United Kingdom and also for .co.uk domains?
Suppose if it is just UK trademark it is straight forward as it clearly acts for UK right.
Plus also if trademark is fully functional any kind of attempts to sell will be seen as Intellectual law breaching right, will the use of domain name for any purpose such as: parking, website, blog or others will be seen this same?
Will be grateful if you got knowledge and can help out with this!
