Was wondering how many domains everyone had. Got thinking the other day as having a little flurry at mo, as you do, then I lay off for a while. Didn't want to go over 500, but over the past couple years has grown. On about 600-650 at mo. It's like a habit! It's enough for me. What's the average we all have . The most I heard a new member on this forum mention he had 8000.
anyone top that??? Pred

Around 200.............. make that around 201 just reg'd ----------.co.uk, i have let about 50 go recently, part of my first flurry in the domain business, made some mistakes as you do.

thats a monster renewal fee - do the domains carry themselves or do you need a few good traffic domains /typos / HIGH quality generics to maintain the renewals?

That would be telling.

 the experience of making the mistakes first leads to a joyous period of watching others fall for the same traps.

i doubt there is an value that can be taken from any answer anyway as the component parts of any portfolio are going to be different in every case - only one person can own (sorry nominet = lease) bank.co.uk for example

which is probably applicable to all levels of domaining - the basis of this breakaway forum was the free transferance of information although we all have a lot better idea now about the domains we want, basically it is down to what you are prepared to invest. You can have all the best ideas in the world but if you cant afford the domains or the scripts to catch them then your a wise man and not a rich man. :D

so edwin could say he invests in good single word generics with natural traffic to support a number of niche domains but that wont help me as i cant really afford the single word generics at the moment and every day the chances of getting ones on the cheap get smaller and smaller - the future is....?

true enough

True enough Charles. We're drifting off point though, how many domains have the rest of you got. We need to know. Break down into how many nets coms etc if you like. If you know! Prob. not. Just interesting, don't u think?
Over to you......whoever's next!

umm Ive got 750 domains parked making about £30 per day...

So by my very simplistic calcs 5,300 domains parked could make about £200 per day.

How much is reg fee on .com's?

Thought I'd dig this one up from the past to give you all a domain portfolio check.

It's Before my time the date of this post but just wondering how many people have gained more domains or let go a chunk go.

I've 250 + and do really need to pull my finger out to get them keeping themselves.

I've probably got 550 or more on my tag, plus about 100 others that I move to my tag as they are coming up for renewal. 40 or 50 .coms I guess as well. None are pakred, some are self-parked/semi developed, some are developed, so just go to a single line message, rather than get classed as parked by the SEs

Hovering around the 700 mark I think... Most of which are 'i'll develop that one next week' but in actuality parked and never will be!

Rich
