I think I should go and do one for my home made Irish soda bread, I'd even do the video in my best generic Irish accent :)

Can you send me a loaf please along with some Irish sausages from your local butchers. There is nothing better after a few pints of the black stuff :)

@ Mo and Sean, you can buy Clonakilty sausages, black/white pudding and their other range of products in the UK:

http://www.clonakiltyblackpudding.ie/where-to-buy/united-kingdom

They're made just down the road from us, we eat their stuff regularly, especially the sausages, they're tasty.

Sean, there aren't any Tesocs near us, the closest one is in Cork itself, which is a 45 minute bus ride away.

Tayto crisps are also available in the UK as well :)

Sean, make your own soda bread, I make a big loaf once or twice a week, it's very quick and easy to make, plus you can add your own things in to it for doing something different from the standard soda bread.

I add a little less baking powder to mine when making my own variations, I like to do one with a lot of cinnamon, sultanas and chopped apple with slightly less soda in it.

This is for the standard loaf I make, it takes about 10 minutes to prepare. I use a 1 pint measuring jug, you want 1 and a 1/2 pints of self raising wholemeal flower and 1 and a 1/2 pints of plain flour, add a teaspoon of baking soda, and half a teaspoon of salt, mix that all together in a bowl.

Form a well in the flour and pour in 1 pint of milk, you may need to add a little more milk once the first lot has been mixed in. You're supposed to use sour milk/buttermilk, but normal milk with a squirt of lemon or vinegar will do, mix it to a rough ball of dough, not soaking wet dough, whack in on a floured baking tray, flatten it slightly, cut a cross across the top of it, bake at 200 degrees for 40 minutes depending on your oven, done, but I just know that would be too much effort for you
