Hyphened domain name fail by huge brand

Saw this domain advertised on TV last night at the end of an advert for one of the biggest cosmetic companies in the world.

It's good to see the use of a generic domain though, whether hyphenated or not.

I dont understand why a big company like that would not secure the non Hyphenated version of a domain name. When they will not think twice spending millions on advertising....

I think it's a question of relative importance. Management want the ad to create awareness for sales in shops, and worrying about whether they have the domain hyphenated or not is down on their list of priorities. It may be surprising to hear a domainer say this, but you have to appreciate the business perspective too.

I'm guessing some marketing companies want maximum readability.
Maybe domainers are quicker at being able to read multi word domains than joe public
