I wasn't paid for the domain - seeking for help

Do Godaddy now do full rights transfers ? In the past you could push to another godaddy account for free, but you then had to do a nominet transfer to change the whois and registrant email, if they still do that then you could just login to nominet , change the tag of the domain to something like Namecheap and then transfer into namecheap for $7.

Obviously if Godaddy do now change registrant email and whois details..........probably little you can do other than raise a complaint with godaddy as an abusive transfer.

That's what I'm interested in

I've had people agree to buy domains, given me their invoice details then never paid

I've chased them up in the following weeks to see if they still want to proceed, no reply

I could have transferred the domain into their name without them accepting it, does that make it any more of a binding deal?

Was this domain transferred into their name without their active participation

Unless they expressly said "transfer the domain, then I will pay" it's a bit iffy

I know it's probably not legally correct, but even after someone agrees a deal, until I receive payment I don't take it as a confirmed deal

I Had a similar situation about 7 years ago. Sold a domain to a Web Design Company in the UK they took the domain and ignored my very polite reminders.

Every time I phoned they hang up so I sent a final email reminder with an ultimatum pay my funds or I will begin emailing "email threads" of conversations to all the clients displayed on your website within the hour so they know the type of crooks they are dealing with.

Boy.... they paid me so fast through CHAPS ! my head was spinning
I thought I had a blurry vision when i saw the payment twice ,
guess what they paid twice! lol when I brought that to their attention they said to keep it and blamed their payment system for the delay..yer right ..Look if it was a street robbery I did say let it go don't play Rambo but you can't allow people to take things from you for free it sets a bad precedent mentally.

She wants to call the police? why back off? welcome that as she will have to lie to the police and dig herself a bigger hole a thief calling the police? only in the UK. Did you believe that? I am surprised she didn't add suing you to her list of threats.

Anyway my opinion only wish you Luck.
