Potentially very interesting - howeved I'm not sure I am seeing the recent upturn identified here when applied to UK domain names.
There's a paper explaining the methodology - http://www.idnx.com/working_paper_IDNX.pdf - but it seems the tables and charts are missing from it.
Would be good to see this developed further - including versions for different registries.
