I'd accept that offer if I was you, "scoop" isn't too big a UK word, although it is used, it isn't as used as "story" in this context.

I imagine if it was a US ext you would be talking 10 times the fee, but if it was a US ext I wouldn't have though you could have picked it up a few weeks ago.
