So I found a domain that was listed, clicked purchase.

It then gives me the sellers details to get in touch to arrange payment.

The "Seller" says he isn't even a member of the site and he hasn't owned the domain for a while...

Yes, flip.uk is 100% legit. Originally created/founded by @lazarus (Colin) and later acquired by @Ryan Ewen. Both based in the UK.

It is legit!

I was in a similar but opposite position, having let a domain expire and drop a keen domainer clicked BIN on the Flip listing a couple of weeks after it was registered by someone else (another keen domainer) so I think this is how something like this could happen over long periods of time.

It wasn't so much that, it was that he claims he doesn't own it now and isn't a member on the site...
