It's running really slowly and then I get the error page.

Had the same problem a few days ago. Went to reg a recent drop, couldn't get past the 'domain is available to registr' page.

They've recently updated the site, and i dont think is running as smoothly as the previous one. I ended up biting my thumb and registered it through 123-reg instead, something i try to avoid these days.

Yes all my sites on heart are down at the moment and even hearts site is down too. It has been down for over half an hour now - this is not good timing for me!!

Time to spend some money on a more reliable host perhaps.

same here, Heart are doing a good job of SUCKING lately, all sites go down all too often now. Again looking but got to get out of the year long contract first

I was actually looking for a cheap .co.uk registrar, and Hearts is the cheapest and quite reliable one for now, unless anyone else have a cheaper and better one, and that's not 123 or 1and1.

There's so little margin in registrations that I don't understand why another member/TAG wouldn't take the opportunity to register for people at cost and offer a more personal 'quick response' service into which they can upsell other stuff like hosting and minisites.

I think Nom's rules for registrar/registrant relationships and facilitation of domain changes etc. need to be looked over, but there seems to be an opening here if one can get over the problem of abuse. In principle, I'd be happy to do this for people I know.

I think the only issue with this is your not incentivizing the ISP to invest in their domain registration or renewals system. If you don't invest in a decent system then your likely to loose domains and renewal emails.
