Is it the right time to sell .UK domains?

I guess that .co.uk's are going to be slowly replaced by the .uk extension. Police.uk, nominet.uk, gov.uk, etc already did it. I own a small portofolio of decent .uk websites however, I see them being valued way less than the .co.uk ones.

Would you sell them now for a lower price or keep them for a couple of more years and wait for the transition? What is your opinion on the .uk and .co.uk domain differences?

Police, Gov and a few others have always been .uk, nominet is a recent move from the .org.uk. Another recent change I noticed o2 are using o2.uk on some online adverts.

I'd say, its a waiting game, such a huge majority (in my experience) don't even know about .UK, we're a few years in and so many people still don't know. Hard to see what Nominet can do to push it. As it gets closer to the deadline maybe the media will give it a huge push with doom and gloom (or wait until after the fact).

I am still very doubtful the .uk extension will replace .co.uk, the vast majority of the public still have no idea it exists. I think the public will only really catch on it exists when the right of registration deadline expires, and as skinner says the media will highlight a few cases of .uk domains being registered that companies really should have claimed! They might actually carry more value after this time.
