Somehow I doubt it. One characteristic of highly successful people seems to be that they can learn from mistakes while dwelling on them far less than "others" might... Frees them to concentrate on the next big thing!

Interestingly while watching the apprentice, I thought he <Alan> was a little crazy not to back this idea. I know of The Samwer brothers version called "HelloFresh" and those guys don't enter markets to nancy around.

He's got a net worth of £770 million. He can certainly afford to be wrong about a minor investment or two without losing so much as a minute's sleep (if indeed it turns out in the long run he was wrong at all).

Given the nature of the development, I think we're just making "minor observations" Edwin, Not business criticisms

Th recipe idea and sites doing it has been around for ages, it was even on dragons den years back.

Google apps in your browser do a great one for tesco.

Seeing as most people would just get the ingredients when doing there normal shop, isnt this just another recipe site?

Well I've just been educated as to why this can work, so I will have them delivered and eat my words :-)

There was me just thinking about tescos, sainsburys morrissons and the like oops

watch the space

Whisk raised £170K and in the same week Fooditity raised £300K.

It's simply a hot space.....someone will change the way people buy food.

Having spent the day with the whisk guys I can tell you it's more than interesting. They are having meeting after meeting with some really interesting people.

Meetings are a waste of time! Get them to do some actual work :P

Will the ingredients come with a cook that makes the dish ?

I can see it now. The Ocado delivery van pulls up, matey boy unloads the shopping whilst chef gets out of the passenger seat to enter house, ready, steady, cook ......

First?

Lots of people doing stuff in the space.....no one yet has got critical mass.

I imagine we maybe raising more cash in next few months......once model is more proven.
