Wanted: Service JS/CSS - help with sorting tables

We're building some comparison tables and we want to make them sortable by each column heading - e.g. name (alphabetically), price (low-high, high-low), rating etc.

I have an old script that I've used for years but it requires actual HTML tables, and that won't cut it any more - we have to build the table in CSS so we can make it responsive.

I hope this is fairly straightforward - happy to pay market rates if you can demonstrate you know what you're doing.

Use HTML tables, they are absolutely the correct element for tabular data and they can be responsive, eg:

There are lots of javascript libraries for sort tables. Table cells, heads, body, etc can all be styled in CSS for responsive design. This is a nice one http://tablesorter.com/docs/

Thanks both. I don't think my old script will work the CSS we're using but we'll look at other libraries
