I don't find it all that useful, but I think it's nice to have. I'm only 27, only worked for one company, maybe in ten years time when I've done a little more networking I'll start to see more benefits.

I've actually got a Business membership, they gave it to me for free after this, but I don't really use any of the benefits!

You say you've actually made contacts through it, mind if I ask in which way? Through the groups? Searching for people? Contacts of Contacts?

I wanted to get hold of someone fairly high up in a company, calling the head office got me no where.

So i found the person on linkedin and sent them a message and made contact.

I like that too, people who know people you know show up with little icons. You show as a 2nd degree contact for me.
