Well,
At Sedo, you can list and sell your domains in any currency.

I sold a domain name, which was listed in GBP.

The buyer has paid the GBP equivalent in EUR.

Sedo has credited the disbursement funds in GBP to my bank account.

For buyers:

At Sedo, buyers have the option to pay for the domains using 2 methods.

If the buyers elect to pay via Bank wire, they can remit the funds through their bank using their local currency which is equivalent to the final sale price.

If they elect to pay for the domain names via PayPal, then PayPal will do the automatic conversion for them.

For sellers:

If you have listed a domain name in EUR, and the buyer has paid Sedo the GBP equivalent of EUR, then Sedo will do a conversion, and it will send the disbursement amount to your bank account *ONLY* in EUR.

Sedo will release the funds from the escrow account once the transfer is complete.

If you a seller, and if you choose Bank Wire for the disbursement, you will get the funds in your local currency. The bank will do the currency conversions, and it will deduct some fees.

If you choose PayPal, you will get the disbursement as is.

For example, if you have a UK Paypal account, definitely your primary currency is in GBP, and if you receive the disbursement funds from Sedo in EUR, then PayPal will hold the funds in EUR, and ask you to take any of the following decisions.

You may add those funds to your existing GBP account by doing a currency conversion. (PayPal will do a conversion and add the resulting amount to your existing GBP balance).

You may open a new EUR balance within your account, and PayPal will credit those disbursement EUR funds and maintain a separate EUR balance in addition to your existing GBP balance.

Hope this helps!

Hi Smokin/Dotuk,

Another thing to be added is that you can also pay by credit card if the amount is under 350 GBP / 500 EUR.

Regards,

Shaun
