Hi,

I'm planning to add a jobs board section to my site next month and I was wondering if anyone on here has been involved in the jobs board business and would be happy to mentor or provide paid consultation services? I have a high traffic site but need to be pointed in the right direction for selling jobs and finding the right point of contact.

Thanks.
Adam

Tip from my recruitment days - agencies used to employ admin staff to post ads across all the sites but that function has largely been replaced by software. Integrating with multi-posting services like Idibu and Broadbean is pretty much essential these days.

Yep, I got in touch with Broadbean before. However it was pretty frustrating as it cost something like £3k to join the program yet the person couldn't give me any indication of how many job posts I would receive or whether there were any advertisers for my market in their system. Strange customer service.

Sorry to jump in here but I'm interested in this too, so if anyone has advice please send my way too!

Their customers are the recruiters, not the job boards. £3k is a lot, but they can get away with it because recruiters rely on it.

It will probably be tough to attract posts from most recruiters without it - there are huge numbers of aspiring job boards promising the earth but few come through with quality candidates, so recruiters are unwilling to spend time and effort trying new/untested boards. If it's just ticking a box on broadbean, it's a lot easier to get over that barrier.

IIRC idibi was asking £500 for integration a few years ago, but broadbean was dominating the niche then - not sure how things stand now.
