IMO very low value.

I have insider info at the UK's largest outdoor clothing group and the boardwear division is doing very badly

The search figures look quite healthy(albeit seasonal):

[mens board shorts] 6,600
[womens board shorts] 9,900

Its just being gender specific/three words that dents the value.

Just got to find the right specialist affiliate

Board shorts are either going to be non-brand, which people will get all over the place, and won't go to an outdoor clothing shop to get, or they will be surf brands such as O'Neill or Animal and the like, which can be got at most department stores or surf shops (of which there seems to be one in most towns around the UK)

I always find it odd to see O'Neill etc. in Blacks; it's a product mismatch in my mind, as what people are in there for is walking boots and things like North Face fleeces and coats.

At the price of branded surf gear, it would also help if shops kept up with the current year's stock rather than trying to sell last years design/logo etc. It puts me right off a place when I know it's last seasons design at full "this year" prices, for instance.
