I'm about to hit one of my sites with gamevillage on TD but they appear to have a refer a friend at £25, is there much leakage with these deals, it seems a bit counter productive going down the affiliate market route then mugging the affiliate who sent a user by offering refer a friend, poaching a possible sign up from the same community and if refer a friend catches on...

Is there much leakage to worry about, the site probably won't even catch on but just wondering.

Cheers
Lee

What in your opinion makes an excellent affiliate program?

One that earns money and has very little leakage, start a new thread if you wish to ask a different question please. As for gamevillage, it doesn't even track... no impressions, no clicks, no signs ups, strange.

**does anyone know if there's a problem with affiliate banners working with SMF http://www.simplemachines.org
