The Ministry of Defence has launched a campaign warning about the potential risks that could arise from sharing sensitive information on social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter.

The MoD released two videos to highlight what could happen if personnel were to post details of troop locations, operational events and information on ship or aircraft movements or home addresses.

My wife is a teacher, and she told me that all teachers have been advised to close their Facebook and similar accounts.

One teacher was severly reprimanded because she posted a photo of herself at a party having had - let's say a drink too many. Some parents saw it and complained to the school!

Methinks it has all gone a bit crazy ....
