The rules by MARnet changed 2014 and also we have a partner in Macedonia who solves the local tech-contact. So no problems with this. I use some .MK for my private and important tech projects too.

Well, I made this comment because their business is not targeted at mass consumer markets, so they probably don't spend a lot on advertising, and the use of a short brandable domain won't be a particular concern.

No, it's not against the law to contact companies and offer them domains for sale. That said, some people can get a bit cross and angry about it when you try and offer them a domain, but providing you aren't infringing their intellectual property you are fine.

You could write a letter to companies to let them know about your domain. The thing is, in the case of these .mk, because the extension is rare, I think this may be necessary to have any chance of a sale.
