I think it's a pretty good name. Yes, it's a generic, but I think it's quite a brandable generic. However, I don't think it's going to be an easy or quick sale, as per usual these days. There are lots of established players in this market, so starting a new site would not be that easy as a new venture, reducing sale prospects.
As usual you will have to put in the leg work to get a reasonable sale in the short to medium term.
Nice name, but in my opinion would be far better with the "s" not just for searches but because I would expect to find and be looking for a comparison site featuring "mortgage deals"

Not trying to be clever - but don't think your domain got any bids on DL for £50.00? I couldn't make up my mind if it would get a nibble or not.
This is very interesting because it shows putting two good words together does not make a great domain, also there seems to be a very split market on AD at moment on what has value and what not.
hi Julian yes you are right it did not get a bid. But I guess they all cannot sell every time.it just surprises me sometimes on dl.names you think would get a bid don't get one and names you think are rubbish get a bid. I guess its like the saying one persons trash is another persons treasure!
