Multi Site Add On Domains

I have a hosting deal which allows me to have 10 sites with 10 SQl databases, but I believe these have to be set up as Add On domains (probably subdomains). Has anyone had experience of this - are there disadvantages?
I also made what I suspect is the mistake of installing my Wordpress install in the root directory, which I'm guessing I'll have to move to a sub folder if I have more than one domain?

Any advice appreciated...

Your host's support team will be able to advise on the configuration of the package you have bought, however most cPanel configurations will allow you to have additional sites as you describe. Contact them as they will know how you are configured and what you can do with the package you have.

There are benefits to having a single account with multiple domains (you have a single resource pool for all domains, single login to manage them), there are disadvantages as well, if you are wanting to develop and sell on sites, then a reseller account would be better as each domain would then be a seperate entity you could hive off.

It will depend on which hosting control panel software your provider is using. Their technical support team should be in a better position to advise you
