Does anybody use them for registering domains? I was slightly put off by the £10 transfer out fee, but just wondered if anybody else hosts their domains there without problems, or sells them without problems?

Namesco operate under various brands, so if you order ensure you use the "cheaper" of the brands, which I believe is cheapdomainnames.co.uk (co.uk £2.74/y). Other brands include:
cheapnames.com (bit of a misnomer cos they ain't cheap at £4.00/y co.uk).
simply.com (co.uk £2.89/y)
names.co.uk (co.uk £9.99/y)
Their "uber" expensive brands are:
net2.co.uk &
123domainnames.co.uk (co.uk £24.99/y)
There are some other brands. Also transfer out / retag vary wildy between brands. The point is all the brands use exactly the same back end, so if your signed up with a dearer "namesco" brand login with your existing details to one of the cheaper portals and you get the lower prices (it will all still work and you get exactly the same forwarding, dns management etc..)
Of course why they fr*g about with different prices for exactly the same products is another matter.
