Nameserver Spy

Hi All,

On the back of our success in dropping domains, we are developing a UK nameserver spy system and looking for people to try it out. Its currently in BETA and completly free, no registration required.

We would love to recieve some feedback on the site check it out below.

The site didn't do anything for me? I typed in domains and it returned nothing.

What exactly does the site do?

If we knew that you used ns0.bensd.co.uk as one of the nameservers for all your domains, we could put that in to give us a list of all your domains.

Or if we might want to find a list of all sites on a particular server, and putting in the server for one of them might give us the answer in some circumstances.

Ah i see, i didn't think of that. Too bad i use heart internet so it would be a lot of sites to trawl through

Thanks for checking out the URL, your quite right bb99, it is for nosey parkers! The idea is your searching for name servers not domains. But this could be done if you think it would be useful.

We are hoping to store this information to provide data on the movement of domains across nameservers.

With that information;

Hosting companies can keep an eye on their competition by monitoring their competitors name servers. You will see how many new sales they are doing, which web sites signed up, who is leaving, and where they are going.

Domainers can monitor their own or friends name server to keep track of which domains they own, which domains they are selling, or transferring.

For fun, you can monitor your favorite website's name server to see when they acquire new domain names and potentially new product launches.
