Wanted: Domain Appraisal net-book.co.uk

Hi all would like to here your views on net-book.co.uk does the hyphen kill it.

For me personally yes, it's "netbook" not "net book" so I don't think the hyphen suits to be honest.

Doesn’t totally kill it search engine wise. I have hyphenated and non same words which the hyphenated version list better..? You would need to get it listed high on the search engines to maximise any potential customer’s reseller £xxx…? (But could be a struggle) If you put the effort in get it listed could see it going £xxxx end user, I’d look at who's bringing out new models etc especially newer less established companies that people don’t go to there brand site for even if they only use it for one model and through it away sort of thing it could do well? Think high listing would be the key

Surely ranking it for "netbook" is going to be harder what with the domain not being an exact match and Google seeing it as "net book"?

Having said that, "net book" is 12k exacts according to the old GKT and with the .org.uk and .me.uk registered as well, it probably isn't a bad new reg tbh.

You would think so but all depends on a lot of things in this case does everyone think its “netbook” one word are the others developed and seo’d to the hilt etc, You can do well out of not so generic sort of names because the generic owner is just sitting on it and has nothing and often will do so for years …? In the short term steal there thunder so too speak not a great long term plan but profit is profit..?

I see that google doesn’t offer corrected spelling e.g “did you mean netbook”etc so maybe a good little new reg certainly better than most ..? And word seams to prefer net book ?

I've just finished a more niche netbook site which already ranks number one hopefully this can do the same and get more traffic.
I'm considering getting price tapestry hopefully streamline the setup time

You're setting yourself a very demanding time frame, and you might be better off trying to capitalise on the site that already has a ranking this year, and develop net-book for next year.
