Just discovered that Netflix is blocking my US content via my VPN service (e.g. link).

Shucks! I was planning to watch several US available items.

Anyhow, does anyone know of another service that works with Netflix or a workaround? It looks like Slick VPN possibly works on Netflix still? :)

Netflix is crap. I used to have a subscription then realised how far behind they are. Spend 2 minutes extra and download what you want to watch. Example they are a series behind on Penny Dreadful.. they don't have a ton of UK comedies. Dump them - you'll thank me later :)

Netflix made a big hoo haw last month about hunting people down. They say they are going to implement a billing address to IP location matching sysyem, so they will be able to stop people. Which means you'll have to use yank billing address (scanmypost type for the US) to get it once they get through.

If they will actually go through with it or not is another matter.

As far as I can see they are currently just banning known VPN IP ranges, which is not going to be a sustainable method

We're looking into this at the moment for vpns.co.uk, will report back

Be interesting to see how they do. Historically, things like this usually back fire and the company backs down.

I wasn't aware all they were doing is, block the big IP ranges, that seems like they are doing a big gesture to appease the US masters. The Account Holder + IP Location would be a sledge hammer to crack a nut, but just killing known ranges seems like just a hit to passive user and appears to be a big strike but is actually nothing.

Their big fuss in the media made it sound like they were doing loads heh, prob scare tactics.

With now-tv boxes being bought up at £5-10 and then being "hacked" to install Plex and other software and then said plex boxes being set up with access to all the latest illegal downloads both movies, tv, sports, music, etc to be streamed, Netflix has bigger concerns I think.
