I've been working on a new site for the last few months. It provides domain registration statistics and a historical DNS database for approximately 210 million active/deleted domain names. Basically you can check where a domain name was hosted and when it was registered/deleted/moved. Most importantly you can check if a domain has been parked/dropped/tasted by looking at its previous hosters.

It is very much a work in progress and the stats for the number of domains hosted on individual hosters is in the process of being added. The 01/October data is being added at the moment.
