101 is a new 24-hour number provided by your police and local council to deal with community safety issues, including certain non-emergency crime, policing and anti-social behaviour.

101 is now live in 5 areas across England and Wales: Hampshire & the Isle of Wight, Cardiff, Sheffield, Northumberland and Tyne and Wear and Leicester City and Rutland.
101 is for:

* vandalism and graffiti;
* noisy neighbours and loud parties;
* threatening and abusive behaviour;
* abandoned vehicles;
* dumping and fly tipping;
* drunk and rowdy groups;
* drug related anti-social behaviour; and
* broken street lighting.


101 is binary for 5, currently the number of areas covered by this scheme and also the number of days your gonna wait for a police response when reporting crimes to this number

Ah, they are bringing it back again, it was cancelled a month or 2 ago during trial as people were using it like a 118 service
