Just announced:

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Antonia Seymour as our new Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).

Antonia is currently Vice President and Director of Business Development at John Wiley & Sons, a publishing and information services company. She will join Nominet in January 2014.

The CCO role is responsible for managing our existing route-to-market, including relationships with channel partners, and will also lead our marketing and communications.

It is an important time for us as we have recently set out updates on a range of initiatives (http://www.nominet.org.uk/news/latest/nominet-ushers-new-era-uk-namespace) to build on its strengths as an internationally-respected domain name registry while responding to the challenges of a liberalised domain name market.

Antonia will report to our Chief Executive, Lesley Cowley OBE. She will work closely with our senior leadership team - Chief Operating Officer Eleanor Bradley and Chief Technology Officer Simon McCalla.

Lesley Cowley OBE, Nominet CEO, said: "Antonia brings a wealth of business expertise both from the UK and the US. Her commercial leadership will prove vital as we look to evolve and grow our business in an increasingly challenging market. We're pleased that Antonia will be joining us and we look forward to working with her to achieve our objectives."

Antonia Seymour said: "I'm delighted to be joining Nominet at such an exciting time. I look forward to working with members, registrars, potential business partners and colleagues to help the business to grow and evolve for the future, while remaining true to its well-recognised public purpose credentials."

Good news. There are a lot of changes coming from Nominet in the next six months or so, so it's good to have a lead team member on communications.

Lesley's certainly building a harem! Simon's getting a bit outnumbered :)

You've noticed this too then? The blokes musn't be up to it!
Never thought been up to the job was ever a requirement for nom. Don’t Wiley’s do the for dummies books they’ll have to bring one out for running a cctld pretty sharpish….

Nominet, the only organisation I know where woman board members outnumber men. At least great we have some places where that's the case.
