The latest cybercrime report from computer security company Norton was published this week, claiming that 19 British people fall victim to some sort of online scam every minute. The report estimates that the total cost to the UK’s economy is a huge £474 million per year.

According to Norton, over half of the British population has been affected by some sort of cybercrime, with the most common threats to online security being viruses, credit card scams and social networking fraud.

Do the math, aprox 10,000,000 per year. Something like 1 in 6 of the entire population being scammed if you include children and the elderly. Scaremongering by Norton !
