does it relly matter if you have a tag but not a nominet membership because i thorte the only real advantage of a nonminet membership is u save a bit of money on the reg and you need a server to host your tag right well i borught a hosting account with fasthosts for my webiste could i scrap my website and use that

Save a bit of money?....haha, go to the Nominet site and see how much it costs to register a domain with your own tag without membership!

If you're going to register more than 6-7 domains ever on your tag then it's worth paying for the membership.
