Ok, I'm starting up my own business and the name I want to call it is unavailable but the co.uk is registered and for sale.

I've looked at url trends and its got a page rank of 3, but no alexa rank. Its about 7 years old.

How do I assess the value of this domain and make a reasonable offer?

If I can't afford it I guess I'll need to look for a new name. I'm assuming the idea of putting 'ltd' at the end of teh name is not good practice

Thanks in advance

express an interest in the name but don't quote figures.

when the offer comes back negotiate around a % you have in mind depending on how far off expectations it is.

and no, .ltd.uk ain't great unless you have the .co.uk and use it as a redirect
