Surely, government departments would be okay with department.gov.uk, to prevent any confusion with private enterprise.

No I didn't get it in writing, it was via phone call. But i'm sure if the question is asked at a round table meeting they will say the same. I'm sure she was telling me the truth.

Where do you get 150 departments from? The document I have seen lists 41 domain names.

I thought it was mentioned on here that it was 150 domains that had been reserved but I must have got that figure wrong.

I would try to get some of these explanations in writing.
