Hi
I have an idea for a utility website that has very low competition and gets a few thousand exact searches per month. The exact search domain is available as .com and .org.
I would not be directly selling any products and my site would require very little maintenance after the initial setup. I plan to use google ads on simple pages with the exact information that people are searching for.
However do i go .com or org? I was always under the impression that .org was for nonprofit making. If i see a site thats .com I always assume that there would be some hardsell of products, a .org to me would have the info I require and maybe be supported with a few ads.
Or maybe I should just buy both domains and run 2 sites?
Cheers

Depends on which extension fits the content on which to use for the site but I'd get both anyway to defend against competition
