Hi,

I'm planning to develop a new website project and currently deciding which domain extension will be most suitable for the intended site. I have been able register both the .org and .org.uk domains for my intended development.

The project will be community arts/crafts based site, it will feature communal ecommerce features and should appeal to an wide international market so SEO performance is important.

I would be interested to hear community feedback on advantages and disadvantages experienced with both the regional gTLD non regional TLD org domains.

Thanks,

If the project is based in the UK then .org.uk all the way

yeah, but he said 'should appeal to an wide international market'
so in this case i disagree with guys above
use .org and redirect .org.uk to it

i'm a fan of org.uk but remember there's a ton of .org.country code

there's one .org and 3rd most popular and established extension in world, plus everyones heard of it

if just for uk market then yeah, .org.uk, but tbh even then if i had both i would still prob use the org
why have hassle of an extra . and 2 letters

google loves .org in my past experience

I allways find it strange buying a .org.uk when the .org is sat there free to reg. Obviously its alot better being a uk extension, but its still alot more to type and doesnt look as clean.
