whats the word and i'l tell you. .org.uks do have a place as the uk domain market is growing well.

I would'nt recommend posting any available name on a forum.

No doubt some fiend would snap it up. At the end of the say £6.00 odd for two years is'nt exactly a huge risk!

I have to agree... although i've never regged 1

If it fits the ext then I would say its worthwhile, ie the charity organ type thing ie I have

helping.org.uk
counselling.org.uk
pollution.org.uk

They get a little traffic but dont expect to sell one

org.uk

The poor mans co.uk

The only way org.uk's can go is up. If you have generics they are great for seo. Google luvs org.uk's

bats
diabetes
nutrition
epilepsy

Don't expect much traffic until you seo.

I think sales will be forthcoming in org.uk generics in the not too distant future as long as you have done your homework, seo'd and are getting traffic/revenue.

Any name that gets traffic and revenue is worth money.

Whats the poor mans .com then !! ?

Are there no morals? If a charity wanted your .org.uk would you try and make money or give it to them?

.net vs .org

Hard to know how it will play out in the UK, but here in the US .net means "second fiddle - company not worthy of the .com", while .org means "reputable and possibly powerful nonprofit"

exaggerating a little, but not a lot.

I have Nuclear.org.uk, PrivateHealth.org.uk, PrivateHealthcare.org.uk and Boxing.org.uk

the .org.uk brand works well with the health domains.

I think that in time org.uk domain names will be worth a lot in the future. if you can get a good name. I wouldn't say what the domain name that your thinking about on the forum. at least not until you buy the domain name first!
