Hi, as l-l and n-n domains are all gone (.com, .co.uk, etc), what do you think about the values on l-l & n-n.org.uk?

As LLL domains generally sell much more often and usually for higher amounts than L-L / N-N you would be much better off registering LLL.org.uk domains. The last time I looked there are loads left, I sold 2 this week for £350 each.

True, there are some nice L-L left, thought it might sell better than LLL.org.uk, well, not really sure about it, I've just got one L-L.org.uk, will wait and see.

Care to share which ones? Were they premium or word LLL's? End users?
But good news for us .org.uk holders...

There were single word lll.org.uk domains available the last time I looked... perhaps some are a little too obscure...

I can't share the domains but they were decent letter acronyms, not words and the buyers were end users who couldn't get the .co.uk.

As I am new to this site and quite new to owning domain names, I am confused about some of the terminlogy l-l, LLL, L-L and n-n. Help! :grin:

L = Letter
N = Number
C = Constinent
V = vowel
- = Hyphen which is used to seperate words

So L-L eg, B-F / N-N eg, 3-6 / LLLL eg, KYFD / NNN eg, 345
CVCV eg, GOBE / VCVC eg, ILED / LL-NN eg, BN-45
Followed by the extension eg, KYFD.co.uk or BN-45.com
Doesn't matter what letters or numbers and wether you use hyphens or not or which extension, This terminology is simply to make things easier for domainers.

yes loads use them although .org.uk gets treated extremely well by search engines becuase often they are charities, great info sites, resources etc
although there are absolutley no restrictions on .org.uk and you can use for anything a .co.uk is used for

go onto google now and search for ringtones...
you will find a hyphenated .uk.com lol thats top ( a subdomain lol)

search google for cash, a .org.uk is top, now admittedly its nonprofit and has nothing to do with cash but still top

now try recycling, yes well suited to .org.uk of course, again, a hyphenated one is top!

i have a number of parked .org.uk first page and in some cases top on yahoo.com, they get a fair bit of traffic as a result

seek and ye shall find. its not always easy to develop any domain out, without having products etc yourself and imo adsense pays so little isnt always worth, but they are a great option imo, the best option for the money if you dont have deep pockets, want a chance with an enduser and can develop
