Own TAG, is it worth it? Any recommendations?

Currently have circa 150 domain names, mostly .co.uk & .uk with some .com and a few others.

Need a system with hosting, email client and landing/holding page all integrated.

My knowledge is intermediate and currently use IONOS and GoDaddy but wish to move away from them both. Transfer domains as they come up for renewal and transfer business email at a quiet time of year to minimise disruption.

Netistar and Cloudflare have been recommended but not sure they have everything I need, may also look for someone with more knowledge in the UK to manage.

Any advice appreciated!

The maths will probably work in your favour.

Initial setup £400+ vat, £100 a year fee.

150 domains @ £3.90 with Nominet is £585 a year. If your paying say 7 or 8 quid a year currently , by year two you'll be saving a fair bit. Once your set up its all pretty straight forward. The only disadvantage is a lack of any control panel to handle any nameserver changes etc. You'll need to do all that externally. I use cloudflare... free ... and awesome.

Nominet give you a control panel where you can manage domains on your tag. You can change nameservers there.
Sorry, I should have been clearer. ..... that is of course true. But its literally just point and go for nameservers isn't it ? You cant set up any extra subdomains, A records or anything like that can you ?

No, you're right, the domain has to be hosted where you can change those details on the hosting zone files or use an external service like you said.
