I know they're not to everyone's taste, but .us.com are now sold by all the largest registrars, including Enom.com, Network Solutions, Register.com plus others.

I know some large companies in the UK use uk.com, such as Avon.uk.com, Lakeside.uk.com, Wimpy.uk.com.

Others use eu.com, such as Colgate Palmolive - www.palmolive.eu.com

It's also being used more and more in the US. The US Supernany TV show uses http://www.Supernanny.us.com and Activia uses www.activia.us.com.

They also pass the radio test, would work well in PPC campaigns and offer an alternative to paying $m's for the .com versions.
