I regged a new, probably never regged .co.uk name through Moniker today. However, when I check, it still shows as available in whois. Some other names caught this weekend, even with nominet closed, seem to show that they are in fact taken in whois.

So here's my question - did Moniker send a request to Nominet for my name, and even though it says its available, I'll actually get it if my request was first in line, or could anyone take it somehow between now and when Nominet opens?

And why do some already show as taken in whois when mine doesn't?

Thanks! :)

Moniker are shite and have not sent the request to Nominet (yet)

Reg through 123 and claim your money back from Moniker.

The automaton service used by Nominet is pretty instant once they recieve a request to make a change, so if it isnt on the whois within 3 minutes then its either because Nominet are busy and should be on within an hour, or the company you got the domain through havent sent off the PGP Signed Automaton.
