Have a 2 year old plumbing website for sale,

gets around 26 hits per day, and on average 2 calls per day for quotes, and 2 emails a day for quotes.

Making around £1,200 on jobs each month..

Croydon and London areas.

www.jrsplumbers.com

also own the co.uk which will throw in.

Ranking most top 5 in croydon plumbing/plumber related terms, and a few London ones.

Ready made business for someone.

Sale due to current owner going to work abroad plumbing .

You will get the whole site etc, and transfer of name etc.

Have you proof (screenshots) of the £1200 a month over a period of say 6 months minimum? :)

To clarify, the new owner would have to be a qualified plumber ie the £1,200 comes from actually carrying out plumbing work?

Yes it's for a qualified plumber , selling on here as Perhaps someone has a client who is a plumber. Earnings come from plumbing work carried out, yes.

Thanks, appreciate the extra detail.

Could also be rented to a plumber of course. I'm surprised we don't see more deals like this on Acorn - it's a great business model.

Do you think they care about stuff like this?

My dad is a plumber. He had a ranking website once... business from it in comparison to word of mouth was round about 0%.

If you're a good tradesman you don't need to be dealing with silly unqualified leads from random people online. You want to deal with the lady who is calling you because you fit her sisters bathroom on time and without ripping her off.

I always bookmark the websites of traders I've dealt with successfully in the past. What happens when they stop trading, move, etc?

I send leads to a tiler who is a friend of the family and take a cut of 10% for every enquiry that results in a job. It doesn't make me much, and to be honest I mainly did it as a favour as he wasn't getting much work at one point.

I've had some people come via the site that have used him before, but they just simply didn't have his contact details and so resorted to using Google. So just goes to show that it is important to have some form of presence on the internet.

I have to say I've made a few quid sending kitchen and building leads onto a builder I know, a few thousand over a couple of years.
I get 8% of total job.
I also rent out another building name and site I own to another builder and he pays me £100 a month for that. It goes into our holiday fund, £1,200 a year for doing nowt! It has to be on page 1 of google though.
The trick is to find a business that isn't IT savvy and these builders aren't IT savvy, my good fortune!
