This is around 5 miles from where I live, and lets just say the decision hasn't gone down well in the local community !

Totally crazy. I would have suspending him too for only allowing two children to try out the sledge.

To cap it all, suspending a teacher for 11 months on full pay and presumably paying for a teacher to cover his lessons shows how wasteful councils are with money.

Good point.

Another example of council waste - I got a preprinted letter, in a printed envelope from my council asking me not to put cardboard in the green bin and to put it in the blue bin. It was one lousy cardboard box. The bin-hitler would've had to take our address down, then someone else had to take the details and input them for them to send us the letter. Total cost I reckon would be £3ish. Why not just issue the bin-hitlers with a 5p sticker to put on my bin?

If they need to do that with say 100 arch-criminals like myself every week thats £15k a year or £260.
