Hi Guys

Post a company that is interesting, in the following format:

FitBug

What It Does:
Makes wearable fitness trackers

Why It's Interesting:
Part of growing tech-enabled fitness trend. Small company that just signed a deal with major retailers and share price has spiked.

I will leave the definition of "interesting" fairly general. Post away with companies that you think may be of interest to other forum members. I guess there is a slight emphasis on tech/software/startups, but it can be anything. The idea is to make forum members aware of interesting sector developments.

This thread isn't for investment advice, but that's not to say checking out the companies won't prove useful for those interested in investment.

EVERY post MUST contain a company, even if you are just replying to someone else.

I only stumbled on them a couple of weeks ago - just before halloween and thought the idea and stuff were great.

When I first saw it, it was One of those.... Why didn't I think of that?

Online marketplace for car maintenance

Why It's Interesting:
Recent startup from the ex Sales Director of Just Eat. Very large market which hasn't been done properly online yet - potential to be highly disruptive. Has proved the model in principle with lots of happy customers and now looking to scale. Genuinely useful.

Slightly frustrating domain that doesn't pass radio test, but then it never hurt Just Eat

Has raised just under £300k in the last month. I have invested, you could too at Seedrs - DYOR etc

Why It's Interesting:
Making everything from luminous tobbaco plants to making bacteria that makes your S***T smell of roses.

Why It's Interesting:
I love the way they have managed to jump on such a unique idea, combined with a minimalist look, default template style and 1990's design

Why It's Interesting:
Bringing internet technology to the TV, which seems of the moment. Being heavily traded at the moment. Isreali parent company, and the Isrealis are very good at tech.

Agree that this could be a big market. BlackCircles sort of already involved in this too.

Don't like the domain name though.
