Hi Guys

In this post I would like people to post their productivity tips. EVERY post must contain at least one productivity tip. So, even if you just want to make a reply to someone, you MUST include your own additional productivity tip AS WELL.

I'll start :)

Build yourself a simple web page with links to all your favourite sites/pages. This will save you a lot of time, and typing.

Next!

Thanks

I find it more productive to bookmark them but guess thats just me

I find that a bit more fiddly. If you build yourself a page, you can also set it as your home page. It's like a quick start panel.

Concentrate on what's important first

Example: make sure you have a site worth promoting before worrying about how you promote it.

You increased your productivity by manually creating something that's already a key feature of modern day web browsers?!

When i load Firefox im automatically greeted with a start panel of my most visited websites. For everythig else i just have bookmark folders up on the toolbar.

It works for me :) I can't rely on the standard stuff because I need to list a lot of websites.

The purpose of the thread is to offer tips other may [or may not] find useful.

I've read the opening post again and still don't see where it says the purpose of the thread is analyse other peoples tips and poor shite on them, especially when your not even posting your own tip.
......

I'd like to post a few tips [humbly of course], but I'd kick off with as a domainer you should be developing at least one of your domains into a commercial website. It drags you out of what i'd describe as domaining delusion and into the real world and the benefits to you, your wallet, and your portfolio will be manifold.

Good one. OK, another from me:

In an excel spreadsheet or similar, make a list of your major business objectives. This will help you focus on what you really hope to achieve. Then, when you are online, ask yourself whether what you are presently doing is helping you achieve your major objectives.

If that works for you then fair enough. I do a lot of bookmarking for later, and it's just a lot easier to click a star icon than it is to have to manually edit a html everytime that's all.

Looks like you like to increase your productivity by not bothering with grammar, spelling or proper punctuation. :D

My Tip: Make use of todo lists. It helps me to stay focused if I know what I need to work through on that given day. Lots of distractions working online and it helps if I can cross things off a list. Procrastination is a constant battle.

This is good guys, can we keep the constructive tips going :D ... and in the nicest way possible can I please request that we keep this thread free of any negativity. Thank you.

If you're developing a site or web app, be brutal about trimming down features until you have your MVP. The sooner your web app is live, the sooner it starts making money and the sooner you start getting useful feedback about which feature you should be developing next.

Someone mentioned trello.com a while back - I've switched to it for a lot of todo lists. I can assign tasks to other people and then check what they're up to...

make a lisst of every Domainers website you come across and have a thorough look around,, u'll b surprised what you can learn just from doing this. ....<<<

..,>>>great way to gauge what a decent portfolio looks like too.

I tried Trello briefly a while back and was really impressed with it. Are there any CRM or other such systems that it can link in with or is it standalone?

That's a wonderful idea. Just let the blind lead the blind in order to keep the peace. If this thread is to prove useful then differences of opinion need to be voiced. The bookmark comment was a valid one.

Criticism is fine as long as its constructive and well-intended. I urge contributors to this thread to keep the tone helpful and free of negativity. That way we all profit. Thanks.
