For sale BIN 250 or make offer

Has 450,000 exact google searches a month

Any good, funny extension but still ranks.

Worth? high end product, relatively, £200 to £500 a go most.

Thanks
Lee

At present you can't give them away. But look at org.uk's now. Creeping in value by the day.

There is however, one major down point. The names cannot be registered to a business. They are for individuals only. So end user potential decreases significantly.

But just as good for seo as co.uk's.

.

Great name Lee ! I have a number of similar ones on the .me extension (earphones, computer monitors etc.).

If, as people say, google doesn't discriminate between say .co.uk's and .me.uk's I wonder how far up the rankings you could get for printers with the right seo and some time. Even if people do see that it's an .me.uk and don't return to the site, you'd still do really well from the inflow of new visitors clicking on the links anyway.

I'm relatively new to all this but are the me.uk's really all that bad when you look at how the .org.uk's are coming on. Perhaps in a year or 2 ?

With that search volume it's got to be worth a punt.

Cheers,

Steve.

Ps. Sorry Scooter for repeating you, I just read your post. We must have been typing at the same time !

I know .org.uk's have appeared on this site more and more over the last few weeks, but I'm still puzzled by those claims that they have started to break through.

I have seen loads added to this site, yet only one or 2 that have actually sold.

So if they are not selling then .me.uk's are like others have said worthless IMO at the moment. Unless they are really prime generic ones that fit with the word "me" like loan.me and even then, maybe very low x,xxx

Thats not true, they can be registered to anyone. You can also use them how you like!

Does anyone have an example of a site that's on a .me.uk domain that sits in a top 3 google position for the word/phrase that's before the .me.uk ?

free-stuff.me.uk ranks number 3 for the word free in google!!

online-betting.me.uk ranks number 6 worldwide for the exact match in a highly competitive area - it's up with the likes of Willy Hills and the site aint all that !

Cheers,

Steve.

Ps. it's above paddypower and bet365 !

You just gave a prime example of why its worth more, what you going to do, offer £50 for free-stuff.me.uk now?

You just dont get anything do you??

free-stuff.me.uk has had so much put into it to get results like that. Printer.me.uk is parked and making no money....

and no, I wouldnt of even offered £50 for free-stuff.me.uk as just a domain name....

Infact didnt free.me.uk sell for not much more on here?

Specific rules for the .me.uk SLD

9.1 Introduction
These are the specific rules for the .me.uk SLD, administered directly by us. They form part of and, in the case of conflict, take precedence over the Rules.
9.2 Charter
The .me.uk SLD is intended to provide a personal namespace within the .uk Top Level Domain. Unless Rules 9.4 or 9.5 apply, registrants of .me.uk domain names must be, and remain at all times, natural persons (a “qualifying person”), and shall not be recorded on the register as being the agent, trustee, proxy or representative for any person or entity (whether having an individual legal personality or not) which is not a qualifying person.
9.3 No actions unless in accordance with the Charter
Unless Rules 9.4 or 9.5 apply, no registration, transfer, renewal or change may be requested to a .me.uk domain name which would be in breach of Rule 9.2, and any such request may be rejected. If, despite the previous sentence, such an action is requested and does occur, Nominet may reverse that action at any time in addition to any other rights Nominet may have by contract or otherwise.

Transferring from person to person is ok. Person to business will be stopped or if it slips through the net they may come back at some time and take it back.

Without development and rankings and lots of work, etc, etc, your .me.uk hardly compares to 'free-stuff.me.uk' does it?

It's just a (parked) domain name you have, with a speculative value at the moment. :D
