Does anyone think there is any value in
locale property.co.uk

where the 'locale' is either a geographical town/area/city/feature

I know they arent exactly popular which is odd considering that property has always been seen as a good investment, why would domains associated to property attract so little attention?

any thoughts appreciated

Yes I believe there is value, I have a few myself, plus I have several estate agent customers who deal in specific areas. Its also something people tend to search for.

In my view it's because the additional revenue potential for a local estate agent from owning such a domain is marginal. i.e. they make can make quite a lot of money just from having their High Street premises, and the added benefit of a good geoproperty name is extremely marginal, plus they would have to pay web developers to do anything with it, it quickly loses its appeal.

That leaves web developers to own and develop them, and there's a lot of work involved, i.e. it's not a domain sector that gives an "easy win".
