yes always a good idea,but make sure you place a disclaimer on the site and try and get facts correct.

Is it just me who doesnt like domains like this?

The amount of times I have been searching for information on symptoms when im feeling ill and am faced with pages full of false information and adsense adverts.....

A page about cancer symptoms is not something you can afford to get wrong either, leave it to the experts and official sites I say!

I dont touch these sites, only reason is im superstitious and doesnt feel right to develop out sites like this.

In terms of value, its very negligible but with a site and that amount of exacts, any site will have value if it ranks.

What I would advise against is making it into a 'splog' type site - if you can provide a genuinely useful website for helping people with the symptoms then it may well get some good traffic. Whether you can (or rather, would want to) monetise that traffic is up to the individual.
