Many hardcore hooligans from English clubs associate themselves with Rangers or Celtic. I don't know what the current state of affairs is, but in the early 70s nuisance attacks by groups of youths wearing Rangers colours were commonplace in Leeds, for example.

Rangers associate themselves with England.. A Scottish club that flys the Union Jack is unheard of. I'm glad they got humped last week, and I'm glad the Romanian team grabbed an equaliser this week. They come to tannadice spouting all the sectarian shyte all the time. I don't think the Bucharest police were tough enough on them

You are reminded that the Union flag was devised to symbolise the unification of the English and Scottish thrones on the accession of King James VI to the throne of England.

Quite why the Dutch and German lairdies continued using this Jacobite symbol is beyond my ken...
