My iPad 2 is probably one of the best gadgets I've owned, it's great. One thing that drives me nuts though is the impossibly small controls on the in-built music player - it has a tiny slider control that you'd need a stylus to operate properly. Scrolling forward or backwards is very difficult to do accurately.

I've been scouring the app store to find a replacement player - happy to pay for this - no joy yet. I'm a big fan of audio books (listen daily), so this is my main usage.

Can anyone suggest a good replacement that they use?

Cheers all!

I use the sansa fuze. Has ability to play all audiobook types including aac for audible. Sound quality is great. Top benefit is the built in microSDHC slot (not surprising as sansa is a sandisk company) so you can load batches of books onto different cards. Also look at sansa clip if you don't want video.

Sansa clip zip is a brilliant mp3 player, especially for the gym :) 8gb expands to 32gb with card.
