Resurgence of LLLs in Advertising

Has anyone else noticed lots of LLLs (pronounceable mostly) are popping up in adverts on tv and radio ?

Just today in the last 2 hours I have heard GLO and WEN on tv, and FOW on the radio, I'm sure I've seen a few others in the last few days.

Both Wen and Glo are interesting as potential typos but still being used in huge campaigns.

I hold a few dozen LLLs, maybe some hope here. I only 4 maybe 5 pronounceable, but hopefully people will twig that LLLs maybe a good nice and short thing. Obvious really but now its in front of mass audiences.

I don't see much difference between a pronounceable 3L or 4,5,6L to be honest. I'd much prefer glow.co.uk, when.co.uk than glo.co.uk and wen.co.uk - I think they're asking for trouble. The vast majority of 3L's only work if they stand for something, initials and even then I don't think they're any better for a business than a well known/generic word.

This is the type of sentence that is always going to prompt people to ask you to elaborate, so why don't you just save this from becoming a protracted bragging exercise and tell us how so?

In respect of "wen", you might like to investigate what it is, who owns it, how long it has existed as a brand and how big the owner is. I know and I was also party to the details of the domain name sale when it occurred.

And all that matters how? If Google decided to rebrand to Glo and bought glo.co.uk I'd still think glow.co.uk was a better domain.

So, with regards to Wen.co.uk, I won't be investigating it, my shit-o-meter is registering a very big zero.

I just wondering now - do you actually 'own' any of these domains or are you essentially a domain broker..

when I offered you 5k for julian.co.uk the other day and you came back with 7.5k :shock: saying something about having to ask your client, can't remember exactly what it said any how..
