Royal Mail Tracking Question

I use Royal Mail's Recorded and Special delivery services to send goods sold through my eCommerce site. I then add the tracking code to a database and it is automatically sent to customers who then manually check it on the Royal Mail site.

Is there a way, that anyone knows about, to incorporate the tracking code in a link that the buyer can click instead of manually entering the code?

I have asked Royal Mail's customer service and as yet no reply, so I thought I'd see if anyone here knew.

Actually, this looks like it works:

Where X is the tracking number.
